VARIOUS VOLUNTEER ROLES
Project Worthmore is a Denver-based nonprofit supporting refugees and immigrants as they build new lives in Colorado. Through programs focused on education, food access, and community integration, the organization helps newcomers navigate unfamiliar systems and establish connections. My involvement has spanned teaching English and digital literacy to Francophone adults, assisting families at the Yu Meh Food Share, and harvesting culturally significant produce at DeLaney Community Farm.
MIRIRINI SECONDARY SCHOOL | ARUSHA, TANZANIA
Through the Africa Schools Assistance Project (ASAP), I completed 50+ hours of service helping to construct a dormitory for 120 girls at Miririni Secondary School. I worked alongside students, teachers, parents, and local builders, gaining a deeper appreciation for Tanzanian culture and the power of education to create opportunity.
LEADERSHIP INTERN & COUNSLER | SUMMERS 2023–2026
Camp Invention is a weeklong STEM summer program through the National Inventors Hall of Fame at Greenwood Elementary School that encourages elementary students to explore engineering, entrepreneurship, and creative problem-solving through hands-on activities.
For four summers, I worked with elementary students to develop their inventions, tackle engineering challenges, and understand how entrepreneurs protect their ideas through patents. I also led STEM activities and coached students on organizing their ideas, explaining their inventions, and preparing presentations. My favorite part was helping students turn their imaginative ideas into projects they could confidently share with others.
